Axis Decorating Centre proudly carries forward the trusted legacy of Schaus Decorating Centre, continuing more than 40 years of serving Woodstock and the surrounding communities.

While our name has changed, our commitment remains the same: providing premium products, expert advice, and personal service to help homeowners and professionals create beautiful spaces.

For Maria DeGraaf, decorating has always felt like home. Growing up in a turn of the century home in Grimsby, Ontario, she was surrounded by beautiful custom window coverings as her family's home also served as the showroom for her father's window covering business. Long before she entered the decorating industry professionally, she saw firsthand how thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship could transform a space and the experience of the people living in it.

After gaining experience manufacturing custom window coverings, Maria spent 15 years as a Registered Veterinary Technician before returning to the decorating industry in 2013, joining a Benjamin Moore retailer in Ingersoll where she spent more than 13 years helping homeowners, contractors, and designers choose the right products for their projects. Those years reinforced what she had learned growing up: every successful project begins with listening, understanding, and offering knowledgeable guidance.

Today, Axis Decorating Centre brings together a lifetime of experience, trusted relationships, and a genuine passion for helping people create homes they love. Together with the same knowledgeable team that customers have come to know and trust at Schaus Decorating Centre, we're proud to carry forward more than 40 years of experience and exceptional service. With team members who have been serving the Woodstock community for nearly three decades, we're building on a strong foundation while bringing fresh ideas, renewed energy, and an exciting vision for the future.
